Stampede @ MUSTANGS.

The Mustangs suffered their first loss of the season in a hard fought game against the Blackfoot Anarchy. The Anarchy jumped out to 15-0 lead in the second quarter but a safety and a touchdown put the game at 15-9 at halftime. The Anarchy were able to score again and extend the lead to 23-9. The Mustangs would tack on a score in the fourth quarter but the Anarchy were able to run out the clock. If there is ever a time to play the Anarchy or the Mustangs, it's after this one. Both teams left banged up and need time to let their injuries heal. The Mustangs quarterback Kevin Wolfe is pretty good and was well protected. Mustangs receiver, Gary Tyler is really fast and can make plays after the catch. The Mustangs utilize a large group of running backs to carry the load. This will be important down the stretch considering their injuries. The Mustangs need to regroup after a tough loss. The Stampede are feeling the tough effects of being a new team and growing pains suck. However, all new teams have felt them. It might seem like it is impossible to win or keep the team together but a few guys that love the game and respect each other can go a long way in rebuilding the Stampede. The Stampede have some good players. They simply need some time to build and add some additional core guys. The Stampede need to focus on the love of the game and not worry about the score. The wins will come. Just not this week.

Cobras @ VIPERS *Game of the Week*

BATTLE FOR THE UTAH DIVISION! The winner of this game most likely secures the Utah Division Tier 1 playoff spot. The Cobras have me scratching my head. Their first game of the year they knock off the Davis Vipers. In their second game, they almost lose at home to the improved Outlaws. In week 3, they travel a full squad to Idaho Falls and get walloped. Hopefully they were able to regroup, forget the loss and focus 100% on the Vipers. The Vipers are really good. They have knocked off the top ranked Anarchy and then traveled to Montana and took the Vigilantes to the woodshed. The quarterback/receiver combo of Land to Stireman is unmatched in the league right now. Stireman has great hands and makes lots of plays after the catch. The Cobras will need a solution for those two players. The Vipers will need to take a page from the Mustangs' book and put TONS of pressure on the Cobras quarterback, Hans Hatchett. They need to make him get rid of the ball early. Teams have been able to run against the Vipers defense, and the Cobras need to get the run game going to minimize the possessions for the Vipers. I think this will be a great game but beating a team twice is tough. Vipers 35 Cobras 14

Xtreme @ MONSTERS

The Xtreme had a huge, signature win over the Vigilantes. The Xtreme went on the road and put an absolute thumping on the Vigilantes. I predicted that the game would be close. However, the Xtreme have rebounded from a couple losses at the beginning of the season. According to reports, they have now reloaded their team with some more talent. I'm not sure who is playing quarterback for the Xtreme. They have bounced back and forth between Bergen and SIderis but whatever you did last week in Helena…do it again… you found YO MOJO. After that game, the Xtreme have the upperhand on the division but they still have to play the Cobras and the Vipers. Having to play the Mustangs and Anarchy, the Vigilantes also have a tough road ahead. However, anything can happen in the Big Sky Country. The Monsters are playing tough. They always have. They just struggle against more talented teams. They only lost by 22 on the road the first time these two teams played. Playing at home will help out a lot. The Xtreme usually travel well but back-to-back road trips will take its toll on any team. I predict the Xtreme will be missing a few guys and the game will be closer than most expect. I do think the Monsters will knock off the Vigilantes at least once this season. They have guys who just love the game and they don’t play for selfish reasons. The Monsters always have an opponents' respect.

Good luck and travel safe.
