Mustangs @ ANARCHY *GAME OF THE WEEK*

These two teams know each other very well. This has been a heated rivalry for 7 years. The Anarchy are coming off a convincing win versus the struggling, Logan Stampede. The Anarchy defense set up short fields for the offense and the score got out of hand early in the second quarter. The Mustangs are coming off a HUGE win against the previously #1 ranked, Utah Cobras. I predicted the Mustangs offense would struggle under first year qb Kevin Wolf, but I was wrong. Wolf threw 2 touchdown passes. The Mustangs stable of running backs ran for over 200 yards collectively. The Mustangs defense also did a good job of containing the Cobras offense by collecting 2 interceptions for touchdowns. From reports I received, the game was closer than the score indicated. The Cobras jumped out first with a Hans Hatchett to Jordan Smith pass. The games between The Anarchy and Mustangs are always close. Points are usually hard to come by. Both teams have really good defenses and very similar ,run orientated offenses. The Anarchy have to win to keep their Tier 1 playoff chances alive. This game is Too close to call but I don’t think there will be more than 20 total points scored in this game.

Outlaws @ MONSTERS.

The Outlaws almost knocked off the Utah Cobras a couple weeks ago and the Monsters are sitting at 1-1. The big question here will be which Outlaw team shows up. Reports say they have more guys on the road in Utah than guys at home in Wyoming, but who knows . An 8 hour road trip will tell. Either way, I think the Herrera crew will be enough to knock off the Monsters on the road. Outlaws 19 - Monsters 8

Xtreme @ VIGILANTES.

The battle for the Montana division will be decided this week! The Vigilantes can wrap up their division and a Tier 1 playoff spot with a win this weekend in Helena. The Xtreme could earn that playoff spot with a win but would need lots of help the next 4 weeks. The Xtreme are most likely not eligible for the Tier 1 Wildcard spot unless they win and get a boatload of help. They also must win out. A Vigilante win here means they can finish 3-5, 4-4, 5-3 and still get a Tier 1 playoff spot. Last week, the Vigilantes took a beating from the Davis Vipers. The Vigilantes struggled offensively without qb JJ Dorsch (injury). Running back, Kevin Carter filled in at quarterback for the second straight week. RMFL All-Star, Marshane Haynes was also out with an injury For a team that merged a playoff team (Tri-County) and the RMFL Championship runner up (Great Falls), they have definitely underachieved so far. They barely traveled to the Xtreme and squeaked out a double overtime victory in week 1. From reports, they were short handed again at home. The Vipers quarterback, Colton Land had 6 touchdowns in the 41-14 road win. The Vigilantes gave up 400 yds of offense. That number says a lot---either the Vigilantes offense had to punt the whole game because they lacked offense OR the Vigilantes defense is suspect. That Stireman kid is unreal. He had 10 catches, 137 yards and 3 touchdowns. That game should have been a lot closer. The Xtreme got their first win of the year last week by beating the Monsters 22-0. Hopefully they can keep the momentum going. They will need more offensive production than the first time they played the Vigilantes. If Dorcsh is out again, I think the Xtreme will pull this one out. They have a sour taste in their mouth from losing a couple weeks ago when they fumbled the game away. If Dorsch and company play, the Vigilantes should win. I am thinking upset for this game! I think the Xtreme will see that the Vigilantes are not firing on all cylinders and that will give them a chance to even up the division. This game is always close. Xtreme 19 -Vigilantes 16.
