The Staff would like to take time to get to know the teams in our league this year. We will spotlight a different team each week of the season. We came up with a few random questions to ask each team. We asked The Logan Stampede. These are the answers I got from Willow Drake.

1-What thing do you hate most about being an OWNER/GM?

Things I love most about running a team, is the spirit and determination of the players who week in and week out show up, knowing that our squad is small and we all have to play both ways. The fact that no one ever gave up even when all seemed to be lost. The thing I hate most is the wishy washy people who commit only to quit because a few things didn’t go as planned.

 

2-How does the squad look for 2018?

Our squad looks really good for the upcoming season. We return most of our players from last season I played for the stampede for the last 4 years so I loved this team. I had high hopes for this squad before the season started as my roster was filled with so much talent.

 

3-Do you have a rival team in the league? IF so, who is it?

If I were to say I have a rival team id probably say Anarchy or the outlaws. Anarchy because of the unsportsmanlike players and outlaws because of the refs lol.

4-What is your best road trip memory?

Best road trip memory would have to be the montana game. We went down with a skeleton crew played our hearts out and had fun doing it. The drive was the best part because of the bonding that happened on the way.

5-What is the worst game your team has ever played?

Worst game would have to be the Anarchy game. The players kept provoking my guys and continued to be very unsportsmanlike even though they were beating us 50-0.

6-Why do you do this and what made you want to own/run a team?

I originally just wanted to coach as my time of a player has passed. Dave called me  the end of December and told me he was done and someone had to buy the team otherwise there would be no Stampede.  Football is an outlet from life and gives men the opportunity to be men without reprocussion or judgment. I took over ownership as I personally know that football can save someones life.

7-After winning the championship, what did you do with the trophy the first night?

If somehow we won the championship id celebrate with the guys whilst being in shock. My guys have worked so hard for such a crummy season to somehow come back and win a bowl would be life changing for some of these guys.

8-If you weren't running the Anarchy, what would you be doing with that time?

If I was not running the stampede Id be raising my kids and spending time with my family.

 

9-Do you have a favorite player? 

I do have a favorite player and no he is not the best.  If we had 20 of this 1 guy we would be unstoppable  (if they had skill that is)
