Wasatch Revolution Preview

2017 SEASON PREVIEW

The Wasatch Revolution is gearing for another solid year on the gridiron after winning the 2016 RMFL Championship over the Zion Lionz for the 3rd consecutive year. This year the Rev looks to repeat the steps as Champions. The USOS will be returning 95% of the Team while adding some more studs to the mix. The Revolution veterans on Offense will be the same as always with Charles Peterson (QB) under the Center.  Zach Guerts, Deangelo Branche, Avei Hunkin, and NFL Pro BYU standout Harvey Unga will carry the duties on the ground. The Rev has been known to be able to ground and pound Teams while finessing the ball through the air but will 2017 be the same story? The Rev is looking to load the air with tons of talent at the Receiver spot. The receiving core consists of Joe Mapson, Del Ellington, Bryant Eteuati, Ryan Lang, and Travis Anderson. Last Season the Rev almost took its first defeat to the Utah Shock in the semi-finals but were bailed out on a last series Heroic effort by Charlie Peterson and the killer instinct style of play from Wide Receivers, Joe Mapson and Del Ellington. The Rev is returning 4 of the 5 starting Offensive Lineman led by Steve Hansen and Brandon Hawkes to protect the assets. They will also be adding other Rookie talent(s) to fill the missing spot(s). Like the old cliché saying,” Defense wins Championships”. The Rev Defense is exactly that, a Championship Defense. The Rev Defense is led by 2 time Defensive MVP, Levine Tupe’ and he brings several pieces to the table with him. The Rev front 7 are one of the most dominant group in the RMFL to date. The returning Trench Bullies consist of: Tyler Ray (returning from injury), Don Johnson, Jason Mapu, Dustin Reid, Dee Lynch, James Littlejohn, and Victor McKenzie (2016 Rev sack Leader). This group of uglies makes it very difficult for every team they face as it is very difficult to get the ball moving with the strength and athleticism of this bunch. Behind these studs lie the real problems, The Rev Linebackers. They are manned by Siolo Toala, Mike Peterson, Ian Eyrie, and led by the Chief Levine Tupe’. The Linebackers have been the force on the Rev Defense but they too have added some assistance for the Marathon. Every team that plays the Rev believes that the key is pound them on the ground and then let it fly. The Rev secondary has created a NO FLY ZONE for all Teams with a very talented group of athletes making that Game Plan hard to complete. The Rev Secondary led by Angel Castillo and Harold Ragin are looking to be better than they ever have. The secondary is returning the highly talented Sean Harper (former Utah Ute Champion), Taylor Van Dongen, Donze Palmer, Shawn Madry, and the quietest guy in the League Jeremy Hendrickson. With such a talented cast one would think the Rev have enough but they live by the motto, “ABR” (Always be Recruiting) so they added some other League standouts Muhammad Miller and Alphonso Thompson (former Screaming Eagle). The Wasatch Rev is looking forward to a very competitive 2017 Season with some Nationally Ranked Teams on the schedule and a long season to determine the RMFL 2017 AAA CHAMPION.
